I sold two paintings this weekend. Great news, by any standard, but knowing "3 Winters" found a new home is especially gratifying.
I love this piece. It marks a direction that I find creatively satisfying but I wasn't sure anyone else would respond to it.
It is really scary not to paint a bowl a fruit, especially when I know how to.
I'm no Basquiat, but I would like to borrow his quote.
"Believe it or not, I can actually draw."
My heart is so much lighter letting go of trying to prove that. When my heart is lighter my work is better and inspiration finds a flint to spark there.
Once again, thank you for letting me share.
Still fun to paint small animals with attitude though.
