Already Gone
I took last week off to focus on getting Layla adjusted to a new school and new routine. It isn't that I didn't have the time but all of my mental energy was focused her. Changes (even positive ones) have been very difficult for her in the past so I handed all my effort off to her for the week. As she gets older, it isn't fair to share every facet of her life online. So what could I write about? She had my brain and my heart completely.
I'm back now. I don't like when people make a big announcement about taking a break. It seems dramatic when all a person has to do is see is that I'm not there to know I'm gone. My apologies if you wondered or worried.
Layla is doing great.

Love Bomb
I've been thinking about Slave To Love since dreaming of Bryan Ferry and posting about it.
I've been giving myself permission to paint more about what I've been thinking about.
According to wikipedia:
Love bombing is the deliberate show of affection or friendship by an individual or a group of people toward another individual. Critics have asserted that this action may be motivated in part by the desire to recruit, convert or otherwise influence.
Motherhood is the biggest Love Bomb there is. Keep your flak suit on for everyone else but nothing is going to protect you from the feelings of parenthood. Resistance is futile, surrender!
You wait a lot and cut up a lot of fruit. Oh but the Love...
